Fonio is gluten free. It is now considered one of the world’s most nutritious grains in the planet along with Quinoa and boasts a low glycemic index.

It is especially rich in proteins as well as containing amino acids vital to the human health.

Similar to couscous, fonio is light, rich in flavour and easy to digest. Its low glycemic index makes it a perfect ingredient for an healthy diet.
